Tray Walker died Friday after being critically injured in a dirt bike accident, and the loss of the 23-year-old Baltimore Ravens cornerback was felt throughout the league.
Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, a high school teammate of Walker's at Miami Northwestern, posted on Instagram: "You were loved by many in the community and looked upon as a role model. It's [sic] saddens me today knowing you were scratching the surface and about to reach your full potential."
Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman was stunned by the news after seeing Walker three days ago, writing on Twitter: "This is unreal."
And Houston Texans cornerback Charles James II, who spent five weeks on the Ravens' practice squad last season, expressed his feelings on Twitter: "My time in Baltimore was memorable because of you bro."
