Browns give qualifying offer to Terrelle Pryor, three others

Terrelle Pryor was one of four restricted free agents given qualifying offers by the Cleveland Browns on Monday.

Pryor and three others (DB Don Jones, OL Austin Pasztor and LB Scott Solomon) received the lowest offer of $1.671 million, which means the Browns can match any offer they sign. If the Browns don't match, they would receive compensation in the form of a draft pick in the same round in which those players were drafted.

Pryor would bring a third-round pick, Jones and Solomon seventh-round picks. Pasztor was not drafted, so the Browns merely have the right to match his offer.

The move effectively will keep Pryor with the Browns; it's hard to see a team giving up a third-round pick for him.

The Browns also signed LB and special teams standout Tank Carder, who was going to become a free agent Wednesday.

DL Jamie Meder and RB/KR Raheem Mostert also were signed.
