INDIANAPOLIS -- A losing record against teams was not normal for quarterback Peyton Manning during his 18-year NFL career that will come to a close when he announces his retirement in Denver on Monday.

Manning only had a losing record against five teams: Miami Dolphins (6-7), New England Patriots (6-13), Seattle Seahawks (2-3), Chicago (1-2) and...the Indianapolis Colts (1-2). The quarterback's record against his former team is 1-3 if you count the divisional round playoff loss in 2014.

While Manning and the player who replaced him in Indianapolis, Andrew Luck, were the headliners in all four meetings, the Colts won two of the three games because of their defense.

Oct. 20, 2013: Colts 39, Broncos 33

Recap: This marked the first time Manning returned to Lucas Oil Stadium in another uniform. Manning got the Broncos out to an early lead, but linebacker Robert Mathis recorded a strip-sack on Manning in which the ball rolled out of the end zone for a safety. The Colts scored a touchdown on their next possession to turn a 14-10 deficit on into a 19-14 lead. The Colts turned a Manning interception in the fourth quarter into a field to push their lead to 39-33.

Luck: 21-of-38, 228 yards, 3 TD

Manning: 29-of-49, 386 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT

Sept. 7, 2014: Broncos 31, Colts 24

Recap: The Colts dug themselves a 24-0 hole when Manning was, well, Manning in finding the weakness in the defense. The weakness on this night was picking on safety LaRon Landry, who couldn't defend tight end Julius Thomas. Manning threw three touchdown passes to Thomas, who had seven catches for 104 yards. The Colts' comeback attempt ended when Luck threw an incomplete pass to Reggie Wayne on fourth down at Denver's 39-yard line.

Luck: 35-of-53, 370 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT

Manning: 22-of-36, 269 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT

Jan. 11, 2015: Colts 24, Broncos 13 (AFC divisional playoffs)

Recap: The Colts' secondary did a good job blanketing Denver's receivers throughout the game. Rookie linebacker Jonathan Newsome had the play of the game when he had a strip-sack on Manning in the second quarter. The Colts used the short field to score a touchdown to take a 14-7 lead. ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter later reported that Manning played the final month of the season with a torn right quadriceps.

Luck: 27-of-43, 265 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT

Manning: 26-of-46, 211 yards, 1 TD

Nov. 9, 2015: Colts 27, Broncos 24

Recap: Luck, playing his first game with new offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski, had his best game of the season against the NFL's No. 1 ranked defense. The Week 8 loss was also Denver's first defeat of the season. That game ended up being the final game of Luck's 2015 campaign because of a lacerated kidney suffered on the first play of the fourth quarter on a scramble play. Luck managed to finish the game. Cornerback Darius Butler halted Manning's comeback attempt when he intercepted him later in the fourth quarter. Manning also fell three yards short of becoming the NFL's all-time leading passer.

Luck: 21-of-36, 252 yards, 2 TD

Manning: 21-of-36, 281 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT
