Prince Amukamara's sister drafted by WNBA's Phoenix Mercury

New York Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara isn't the only professional athlete in his family. Amukamara was ecstatic Thursday night to learn that his sister, Promise Amukamara, was drafted by the Phoenix Mercury with the final pick of the WNBA draft. Prince Amukamara celebrated the news on Twitter:

Promise Amukamara was an all-Pac 12 guard this past year for Arizona State and a member of the conference's all-defensive team each of the past two years. She averaged 10.9 points and two assists per game this season, and she ranks sixth all-time in Arizona State history with 209 steals.

Prince Amukamara was a first-round pick by the Giants in 2011. He was off to a strong start in 2014 before an injury ended his season in Week 9. Promise Amukamara is one of Prince's five sisters, and the family is very close.
