PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia Eagles added two players to their roster and subtracted one.
The Eagles claimed defensive tackle Jeremy Towns off waivers. The 6-foot-4, 290-pound Towns was waived by the Buffalo Bills on Saturday. Towns, who played his college ball at Samford, had previously been with Washington.
To make room on the roster, the Eagles waived defensive tackle Wade Keliikipi with an injury designation. Although Keliikipi never was listed on an injury report by the Eagles, the team said he had a foot injury.
Earlier, the Eagles signed safety Brandan Bishop, who was on the Atlanta Falcons’ practice squad last year. The 6-foot-1, 208-pound Bishop was a teammate of Earl Wolff’s at North Carolina State.
Wolff was released last week after having arthroscopic surgery on his knee. Bishop takes Wolff’s spot on the 90-man roster.
