1.20pm: That was the 150th Test at Lord's, then - a memorable one for all sorts of reasons. England will take a 1-0 lead to The Oval, although there is time for NZ to regroup, with 10 days until the start of the second Test. For now, you can read Matt Roller's report, and stick around for more from our team at the ground. Thanks for your comments and for keeping us company, we will of course be back for more. From myself and Sreshth, Deiva, Shashwat and the scorers, it's goodbye for now. Cheerio!

And a quick note for anyone reading this from Lord's: Surrey are offering £5 tickets for their game against Hampshire starting today to anyone with day-four tickets to the Test. Lord's ticket holders will need to show proof of their day-four ticket at the ticket office; alternatively, they can direct message Surrey's social media channels with proof of their Lord's day-four ticket to obtain a code for the Kia Oval's ticketing website. So if you fancy hotfooting it over the river for some more red-ball action, there's a bargain waiting to be had!

1pm: Time for the presentations, and we'll start by deciding the Player of the Match debate... Ollie Robinson it is after his seven-wicket haul on comeback, his best Test figures after two years out of the side: "Huge dream, great to be back on the pitch for England, to do that for the team and get the win, such a special feeling. To share that with the lads, first Test of the summer, win under our belt. [Nerves] Probably the worst before a game, the day before anxiety through the roof. Couldn't get my legs. But the Lord's crowd were amazing. [Triple-wicket maiden] Never done it before! Feelings are so surreal. Don't have words to describe how I felt but one of the highlights of my career. We bowled well, hit the stumps a lot, got up and down towards the ends and seam movement sideways. Our plans were clear. And I thought Emilio Gay played really well as well. Really enjoyable to be part of that seam group, Gus again with five, he loves bowling here. And Tonguey is unbelievable, he never misses at 90mph. Hopefully we can do that again this summer. [Back in side for good?] This is the start, lot of hard work to go, got to put those yards in to make sure this is a long career."

NZ captain Tom Latham: "The way we bowled with the new ball on day one was outstanding. Lots of extremely talented bowlers on show. We had our opportunities through the Test but unable to capitalise on them. From our first innings to be in that position, we got through the tricky phase on day one, whether we could get to 200 but we weren't able to form partnerships. The surface wasn't easy, credit to their bowlers. We know things will be different at The Oval. [Dropped catches] Said before the series, those small moments can swing a Test match. In a low-scoring affair they become important. Certainly not through lack of trying, hopefully tidy up going into The Oval. [Pitch] Probably more the up-and-down nature of the surface. Used to the ball moving sideways and you're able to adjust or play the line. When it goes up and down you're caught on the crease and you look at the number of bowleds and lbws. Quality attacks exploited the conditions well. [Approach to chase - more attacking?] Those were the conversations, hindsight's a wonderful thing. The way GP came out and was positive... maybe we could have done that and it would have changed things. Not ideal but we trust ourselves and will reset next week. [Good to take 20 wickets] Preparation has been exactly what we want, from a bowling point to see Jamieson and O'Rourke go well was great to see, so we're building nicely. Thought we did a fantastic job, just have to keep hanging in there."

England captain Ben Stokes: "Couldn't have asked for more, coming in after all that's gone on and putting in a performance. Test cricket is hard, you're never sure what you're going to get, thought the way we identified the conditions and responded, we did that very quickly. We were quicker to have conversations this week. Lot of people in the dressing room giving ideas. It was a wicket where you give up chances as a batting unit, but bowlers felt they were massively in the game. We've gone up against a quality team in NZ and to come out on top is pleasing. [Gay debut] That's as tough as it gets in Test cricket, the conditions and the pressure, a low-scoring game, the fifty runs he got there [were priceless]. Tough introduction to Test cricket and a massive contribution on debut. [Robinson] The skill that Olllie possesses has never been questioned, that was evident. Been an emotional week from him but the competitive attitude is what we want to see from Ollie. As a bowling unit we were great."

12:43pm An hour and a bit - that is all England needed today to wrap up this contest. Conway and Phillips offered some resistance - the latter even finishing unbeaten, but that felt like too little, too late. Much of the damage had been done in the first innings and then under overcast skies yesterday. Barring Conway and Phillips, none of the others kept England at bay for long enough and in the end, NZ fell well short.

Speaking of England, they will be thrilled with how they fought back having been rolled over for 140. Robinson led the charge in their first bowling innings, with Atkinson doing something similar on days two, three and four. Tongue and Robinson did their bits too, with Stokes popping up with the crucial and potentially match-sealing wicket of Conway today.

Here are a few interesting stats from this game: There were 24 bowled or lbw dismissals in this Test, which is the most for a men's Test in England. 996 balls is the third fewest for any men's Test match where both teams got bowled out in both innings. Alan will be back shortly to take you through the post-match presentation.

Shadow-Shell: "Who should be player of the match? Atkinson or Robinson? Is should it be a batter since it's a tough batting pitch, like Brook or Gay" -- I'd be tempted to give it to Robinson, especially after the hole England found themselves in, having been bowled out for 140 on the first day itself.

Atkinson to Henry, OUT, middle stump flattened, and England romp past New Zealand to take a series lead! Five for Atkinson, and it is fitting that he lands the final blow! Back of a length on off, and this seems to jag back in a shade. Henry, caught on the crease, goes searching for it in front of his body and is beaten on the inside. The ball sneaks past the inside edge and then crashes into middle stump. NZ bowled out for 138 in the fourth innings while chasing 254, and England have been full value for their victory!

Tongue to Phillips, no run, England appeal for a caught-behind, but the umpire is having none of it! Sharp bumper just outside off. Phillips looks to hook it away but is late on the stroke. The ball seems to whistle past his bat and his helmet, and England, after some initial optimism, opt not to review

Tongue to Phillips, FOUR, clever batting! Back of a length outside off. Phillips waits on it and opens his bat face at the last moment to steer it past gully!

Atkinson to Henry, no run, back of a length, straying onto the pads. Henry hops around his crease before letting the ball hit his pad. Rolls away to leg gully

Here's Sampath with an amazing observation: Shoaib Bashir could find himself in a select list of non-wicketkeepers who batted No. 11 in both innings of a men's Test and didn't bowl a ball. Saleem Jaffar of Pakistan vs India in Bengaluru in 1987 was the last such one. His case was the opposite of Bashir: being a pacer on a turner. Imran and Akram together bowled only 18 overs in whole of that game. England's George Vernon vs Australia at MCG in 1882 and Lord Hawke vs South Africa at Cape Town in 1899 are others.

Tongue to Phillips, no run, short and wide outside off. Phillips tries to reach out for it but is a tad late in doing so. Swishes at thin air and he is unable to get the single that would have kept him on strike

Tongue to Phillips, SIX, banged half-way down, and Phillips takes full toll! And this might just have landed on the cushion on the full. Short on off. Phillips swivels nicely and hooks it into the boundary padding in the fine leg region. Third umpire checks, and says it is a maximum!

seb: "to be fair to Henry his stats really aren't that bad, averaging 17 with 4 fifties, surely Phillips can trust him to face two an over" -- Under normal circumstances, perhaps. But Henry is battling back spasms, which complicates matters.

James: "I can feel a Nathan Astle innings coming on from GP here... batting with an injured partner... 4th innings.. against England... the stars are aligned!" -- Might have to put that under the optimistic category for now...

Tongue to bowl. Phillips on strike. Surely he chances his luck now? Field spread out
