1.45pm Chase celebrates his first Test win as captain with his team-mates. The fans stay back in North Sound and celebrate with the WI players. That's all we have for you from this game. Do come back for the second Test, which will also be played in North Sound from July 3-7. Until then, this is Deivarayan Muthu signing off on the behalf of Fidel Fernando and Venkat Raghav. Goodbye and cheers
Chase, WI captain: I think it's one of joy. We've played eight Tests and we just had a draw. To see the guys execute the plans, it's a dream come true for me and very happy. Two things: Jangoo his double-hundred and he got into the zone and then to see Roach - he's a modern-day legend. We shouldn't get too far ahead of ourselves, but the most important thing is to be patient and trust the process. We have to repeat, repeat, repeat for the second match. I know we have a good bowling unit and look forward to pick up the slack from where they left it off. Kudos to the guys, especially the bowlers.
Amir Jangoo, Player of the Match: It's amazing. Words can't explain it right now and I'm truly grateful for it. Early in my career, I get a lot of starts and get out. I realised that it's all about cashing in. When I get to a century, I try to convert it into a double. To be honest, just to be part of the Test win. Roach getting to 300 wickets was phenomenal. I've always been professional and put in hard yards at training and working with the batting coach. Lucky, I had a good game, but it was all about the prep.
Dhananjaya de Silva, SL captain: I thought we had enough runs in the first innings, but when they were 160 for 5 we were still in the game. But Chase and Jangoo put us out of the game. It was quite hard and the ball kept low and some bounced. One injury let the whole team down. They had five pacers, for us unfortunately one guy got injured. As I said, Chase and Jangoo batted well. When we have to win, we have to take all 20 wickets and we're focussing on that.
Roach gets a special jersey for 300 Test wickets. He gets emotional once again. Seales hands it over to the pace ace. They exchange hugs. Roach signs autographs for his fans. Great scenes in North Sound.
Roach: First and foremost, it has been a long journey. Well done to the team and Roston Chase, first win as captain and first win for Daren Sammy as coach. I wouldn't be here if not for these guys. Thanks to my family and I know my mom is watching. She's proud. Everyone thought I was going to get it yesterday...Thanks to the Antigua fans for coming out and supporting the team. Right now, we're going to celebrate and discussions will be had. Thanks to everyone, I really appreciate it and glad I made you proud in some way. Hopefully, we win this series.
Aquib Mohammed : "Dinusha scored 43(75) and 12(29). Yes he bowled 56 overs and conceded 234 runs for 2 wickets, but it could be worse. It is better than Chuck Fleetwood-Smith's 1938 Oval Test where bowled 87 overs and conceded 298 runs for the solitary wicket of Wally Hammond"
Vishwesh: "The rise of the West Indies brings me a lot of happiness. The aura of their fast bowlers, Roston's captaincy, and the batters backing their Test-match skills are an absolute treat to watch."
Brydeezy: "It would be nice to see this sort of Windies performance more often. They shouldn't be bottom of the Test table."
1.18pm That is that. WI have finished off SL inside four days in North Sound. Notably, this is WI's first Test win under Roston Chase. It was the WI skipper who had helped set up this victory with a world-record sixth wicket stand with Jangoo, who might not have played this game had Hope been fit. The WI fast bowlers fired in unison to dismiss SL for 101 in their second innings. Chandimal was the only SL batter to offer a semblance of resistance with 43 off 60 balls. Roach led the line with a four-for and when he castled Asitha, he became the fifth WI bowler to 300 Test wickets. He looks very emotional right now. He's in tears as he gets pats from his team-mates. Do stick with us for the post-match presentation.
