12.4 two in the over for Brar, both openers gone! Short of a length outside off, climbs on Duckett who stays back and slashes, the top edge flies down to deep third where Bumrah is on the edge of the boundary, he takes the catch and then tosses the ball up before stepping over the boundary and then stepping back in to complete the wicket ... the TV umpire is checking the catch, Bumrah's shoe is close to the advertising toblerone but no evidence of it touching ... Duckett has to go 63/2
12.2 Bethell's struggle is over! Shorter length from Brar and Bethell is cramped for room a touch as he pulls flat and hard, Sundar runs in from deep square leg and takes the catch, India finally have a wicket after testing the openers several times today 61/1

13.1 gottim' first ball of his second spell! Short of a length pitching outside off and it's the extra bounce and away movement that does for Brook as he tries to open the face and steer behind point, the outside edge flies through comfortably to Rohit at first slip 64/3
16.1 A collision but India manage to pick up a wicket! Brar and Gill have eyes on the ball, not sure if any of them called. Brar hangs on even as he bumps into Gill's shoulder. Prasidh bowls it full on off and middle, Buttler looks to flick it across but only manages to sky a leading edge. Mid-off and mid-on converge to push England in a hole 80/4
16.4 A nick so loud that you can hear it in the entire UK! Sam Curran is out of here and the Indian fans noise grows louder at Edgbaston. Prasidh slants the length ball across the batter, the width is such that Curran cannot resist. Throws his hands at it and only manages to edge it behind 80/5
21.4 Whattay catch, KL Rahul you beauty! A one-handed stunner to give Dube his first ODI wicket since August 2024. Length ball around off, just straightened a touch. Forced Jacks into playing at it. But all he could manage was the outside edge. Rahul was moving to his left but then dived to his right and stuck his right hand out and it stuck 107/6
43.6 Catching practice for Rohit and the 121-run partnership is broken. Shortish ball on off, Dawson goes back for the pull. Hits it straight down deep backward square leg's throat. He walks back after making his highest ODI score, and importantly, getting England to a decent position from where they were when he walked in 228/7
45.6 Axar has the last laugh. Shortish again but follows Archer who was backing away. The pace is quicker, too. Archer goes back to pull. Miscues it towards deep midwicket for a simple catch 250/8
47.3 Easy stumping for Rahul and Axar takes his third. Darts it in on a length. Rashid dances down while moving to the leg side, in order to access the shorter off side. Misses it completely after being beaten on the inside and is miles out 258/9
47.5 Knocked him over and England bowled out for 258 with Root stranded at the other end. Slows the pace down to 85kph, landing it on a length on middle and off. Draws Tongue forward with the drive, but he misses and is clean bowled. A fourth wicket for Axar, and who knows if he would have bowled this over had Brar been fit! 258/10

7.3 Rohit's scrappy innings comes to the end ... he steps out of his crease trying to loft the ball down the ground, he's trying to hit against the angle across him from over the wicket, and he's trying to launch it on the up, ends up lobbing a catch to Brook at mid off 43/1
25.4 Full and outside off, 140kph, inviting the drive. Gill goes for it but is beaten 149/2
8.3 oh that looks plumb, Kohli is asking Gill whether he should review and his captain seems to say no, and with good reason, full and straight from Archer, Kohli tried to flick across the line and fell over a touch, struck dead in front ... Ro and Ko are done in this chase 48/2
26.6 Direct hit, is Iyer a goner? Seems so. Length ball on middle, clipped towards midwicket. They decide to take on a quick single but Iyer perhaps doesn't expect the throw at his end. Before he can speed up and drag his bat across the crease, Brook's throw has found the bull's eye. Running in a slant also did not help. Both set batters are in the dressing room for India in quick time 157/3

27.5 Chopped on and England are firmly in this now. Tongue bowls it on a length and hangs it wide outside. Rahul goes back to punch but gets a thick inside edge onto the stumps. Tongue's maiden ODI wicket and India in trouble 160/4
