Marsh, trying to cut it, gets a feather and Rizwan makes a sharp chance look rather routine. Top work by Hassan and Rizwan, and this is a timely breakthrough for the visitors! 49/3

1.6 plonked to extra cover, and Sandhu has the last laugh! Hard length outside off and this seems to nip back in a touch. A bit of steep bounce too and Allen, trying to force it through the off side, cannot control his stroke. Splices it tamely and Hassan does the rest! 16/1

4.3 leg stump out of the ground! Angled in full on middle and leg. Connolly, feeling the pinch of the scoring rate, clears his front leg and swings for the hills. Loses his shape, loses track of the ball and loses his leg stump soon after. Top work by Behrendorff, and the Scorchers in a bit of a pickle early! 23/2

18.3 shanked again, and taken this time! Hard length just outside off. Hardie thinks this is his getaway shot but does not time it well at all. Tennis ball bounce and the two-paced nature of the surface on full display and Hardie spoons it towards deep mid wicket, where Fraser-McGurk settles under it and snares the chance! 120/7

9.5 shanked to long on, and Turner perishes! This is a little slower and perhaps shorter on leg stump. The sort of length Rizwan was asking Hassan to hit after the previous ball. Turner tries to take on long on, but comes up second best. Quite comfortably at that. A flat hit straight to Sutherland off the inside half of the bat, and the Scorchers are four down heading into the drinks break! 65/4

12.5 oh dear, what have you done, Laurie Evans! Bashed into the track outside off and this seems to move back in a touch. Evans has a huge waft at it, perhaps trying to upper-cut it but all he manages is a healthy nick through to Rizwan. Sutherland with a vital wicket at this stage! 85/5

16.4 has Hobson run himself out?! Back of a length, speared into the pads. Hobson tucks it into the deep mid wicket region and calls for two. He has to scramble on the second, though, and has to sprawl. The throw is accurate and Behrendorff, who has come up to the batter's end to collect the throw with Rizwan initially chasing the ball, does the rest. Short by a fair distance in the end, and the Renegades have their sixth! 111/6

19.2 Scorchers bowled out for 127! Shortish and following the batter outside leg. Richardson, tucked up, fends it into the leg side. Decides, rather ambitiously, to come back for the second and is caught a mile short. The second was never on and if Richardson wanted to keep strike, he might have been better off not running at all. A dismissal that sums up an uncharacteristically insipid batting innnings! 127/10

18.4 gone first ball! Banged in short outside off and Paris has a swipe at it because, well, why not. Cannot get on top of it enough, though, and with the ball near his back shoulder, he cannot generate the requisite power either. Straight to Sutherland at long on, and the Scorchers falling apart now! 120/8

18.6 edged and taken! Not quite a hat-trick but Sandhu has four again! Back of a length in the channel. Payne has a flat-footed poke at it and gets a healthy outside edge. Rizwan tracks it all the way and then flings out his right mitt to take a one-handed stunner. Sandhu is pumped, and the Scorchers are reeling! 120/9

2.6 miscued, and taken! Banged into the track outside off. Brown tries to fight the angle and tries to muscle it over mid wicket. Cannot free his arms enough and the ball goes straight up. Marsh, running to his right from mid wicket, calls early and makes no mistake! 26/1

7.1 oh dear - that is a horrendous mix-up! Full outside off. Rizwan bunts it to mid off and sets off for the single. The decision is unilateral by the looks of it because Seifert has his back turned to Rizwan. A bit of ball-watching but a complete breakdown in communication nevertheless. Both batters, comically, end up at the bowler's end, with the run out happening at the other end. A check to see who made it to the crease at the bowler's end first and as it turns out, it is Seifert who has to walk back! 54/2

10.3 Connolly breaks through! This is very tidy bowling. On a length outside off and Rizwan is beaten in the flight completely. Runs down the track, without ever threatening to get to the pitch of the ball. Runs past it in the end and Evans does the rest behind the stumps. Timely breakthrough for the hosts! 66/3

11.1 goes straight up, and JFM bites the dust too! Back of a length just outside off. Sticks in the surface and seems to straighten too. JFM wants to tug this through mid wicket but the ball goes straight up the chimney. Easy, easy catch for Hardie at backward point, and this Renegades chase is stuttering now! 69/4

12.3 holes out to long on, and Turner is in on the wicket-taking act too! Zipped in on a length on off. Hassan's eyes light up and he tries to smash this into next week. Cloths it completely, though, and long has has the most regulation of chances to gobble up. Renegades under the pump now! 72/5

18.3 six and out, and the crowd erupts! And we have another twist in this game! Hard length, angling into middle and off from around the wicket. Sutherland steps down and backs away, wanting to go inside out. Slices across it too much, though, and extra cover back-pedals to send the crowd into absolute raptures! 114/6
