Barring something drastic, Shohei Ohtani has all but locked up the NL MVP award entering July, according to the futures odds, as he is an overwhelming -1600 favorite, with Pete Crow-Armstrong a distant second at 30-1. The AL MVP race is tighter, though Yordan Alvarez has taken over odds-on status in recent weeks and is now -155. Just behind him is Nick Kurtz at +250, followed by public liability Bobby Witt Jr. at +750.
The Cy Young races in both leagues also have odds-on favorites, with Cam Schlittler at -115 in the AL and Jacob Misiorowski at -225 in the NL. On the AL side, Dylan Cease is the closest contender at +300, but Drew Rasmussen has made a significant run up from 20-1 to +900 over recent weeks. On the NL side, Cristopher Sanchez remains the only pitcher within shouting distance of the top at +350, while the last two NL Cy Young winners, Chris Sale and Paul Skenes, are next at 20-1.
The AL Rookie of the Year race shows Kevin McGonigle having a solid odds lead at -190, though Munetaka Murakami remains second at +550 despite missing the last several weeks due to injury. In the NL, JJ Wetherholt has extended his lead to -155, with Sal Stewart (+450) and Bryce Eldridge (+700) maintaining their spots at second and third, respectively, while Konnor Griffin improved to 11-1.
