The competition for National League MVP is now a true two-man race, according to oddsmakers. Shohei Ohtani and Pete Crow-Armstrong have been going back and forth as the favorite to win the award, oftentimes based on which one has most recently performed their magic at the plate.
On the other hand, the American League MVP honor is close to locked up by Yordan Alvarez, who is the huge -1200 favorite. Junior Caminero at +800 seems to be the only true challenger.
Jacob Misiorowski is similarly running away with the NL Cy Young at -750, with Chris Sale (+850) and Cristopher Sanchez (11-1) posing outside shots. In the AL, Cam Schlittler (-170) continues to hold a slim lead over Dylan Cease (+135), with Sonny Gray the only somewhat close contender at 28-1.
Both the AL and NL Rookie of the Year leaders are odds-on for the awards, with Kevin McGonigle at -525 and JJ Wetherholt at -145, respectively. The only real challengers at this point in the season are Munetaka Murakami (+475) in the AL and Sal Stewart (+115) in the NL.
