Reigning world champion Lando Norris has committed his long-term future to McLaren after signing a new contract to remain at the team until at least 2030.
The deal, which includes one of his title-winning Formula 1 cars as a gift from the team, also has the option of a "multiyear" extension beyond 2030.
Norris, 26, who made his F1 debut with McLaren in 2019, last signed a multiyear contract extension in 2024 that was believed to run until 2027.
Norris' future at McLaren had not looked in doubt and was only cemented by his championship-winning season in 2025, which made him the first driver since Lewis Hamilton in 2008 to win F1's top prize with the team.
The new contract represents a trend in long-term commitments between star drivers and teams in this year's driver market after Max Verstappen committed to Red Bull until 2030 last week and Charles Leclerc signed a new multiyear deal with Ferrari earlier this season.
"McLaren is my home, and I'm very pleased to be signing a new contract to keep me with the team until at least 2030," Norris said. "When I started this journey nine years ago, I was clear about the goals I wanted to achieve: to get McLaren back to the front and to win Championships.
"We've achieved that goal, but we want more, we want to keep on winning, and we know as a team that we're capable of achieving it. I can't wait to get back in the car in Monza and I'm very excited about what the future holds for us, both over the rest of this season, and in the coming years."

Norris' teammate Oscar Piastri extended his contact at the start of the 2025 season and is believed to be committed to the team until at least 2028.
Despite conversations between McLaren's senior management and Verstappen earlier this season, the team has always publicly stated its commitment to Norris and Piastri.
Team principal Andrea Stella used the contract announcement to reiterate his belief that McLaren has one of the strongest driver pairings in F1.
"Lando has been an integral part of McLaren's journey and success over the last nine years, and we are delighted to continue our partnership with him through to at least 2030," Stella said. "He is an exceptional driver, someone who combines outstanding natural speed with maturity, consistency and a strong commitment to McLaren, but above all, he is a special human being who is valued by everyone in the team.
"Since joining McLaren as part of our junior programme, he has grown with us and played a central role in bringing the team back to the front of Formula 1. This extension gives us important continuity and reinforces our confidence in the direction we are taking together. With him and Oscar, we know we can count not only on one of the strongest partnerships but also on one of the most united and close-knit teams in Formula 1."
As part of his new deal, Norris will receive one of the MCL39 cars that he used to secure his first F1 title in 2025.
"This gift serves a lasting reminder of his contribution to the team, in particular his part in securing the team's second consecutive Constructors' title in 2025, while also becoming the team's first Formula 1 Drivers' World Champion since 2008," a team statement said.
