Arthur Fery has been drawn to face Italian world No. 14 Lorenzo Musetti in the first round of the US Open.
The fourth and final grand slam of the year kicks off on Sunday.
Fery, who captivated the tennis world with his dream run to the Wimbledon semifinals this summer, is 37th in the world rankings.
Since Wimbledon, he has played at the Cincinnati Masters where he was knocked out by Australian Alex de Minaur. He has also reached the quarterfinals of the Winston-Salem Open, taking on Aleksandar Kovacevic on Thursday evening.
British No. 1 Cameron Norrie will play Luca Van Assche of France at Flushing Meadows.

Jack Draper and Emma Raducanu have both been forced to withdraw from the tournament due to ongoing injuries.
Women's singles No. 1 Katie Boulter will face American wild card Carol Young Suh Lee.
Elsewhere, Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz returns to the grand slam scene after missing the French Open and Wimbledon to defend his US Open title and will play Roman Safiullin.
