Spin: Akoa Makani established herself as a productive member of the Mercury's backcourt across her first two seasons, and she'll be on the move ahead of Sunday's trade deadline. Across her first 19 appearances (16 starts) for Phoenix this year, she's averaged 9.4 points, 2.5 assists, 2.1 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 23.4 minutes per game, and she should have the chance to carve out a role alongside Ariel Atkins in the Sparks' backcourt to close out the season. Given the late-night nature of the trade, it seems unlikely that Akoa Makani will join Los Angeles ahead of Sunday's matchup against Portland.
