ROSEMONT, Ill. -- Elena Delle Donne had 24 points and 10 rebounds, Cappie Pondexter scored 24 and the Chicago Sky beat Minnesota 90-83 on Friday night to snap the Lynx's three-game winning streak.
Pondexter hit back-to-back 3-pointers to give the Sky a 79-71 lead. After two baskets by Maya Moore, Pondexter was fouled on a 3 and made all three free throws for an 82-76 lead with 2:26 remaining. Chicago made 8 of 10 free throws the rest of the way.
Jessica Breland added 11 points and 10 rebounds for Chicago (7-5), which beat Minnesota for the first time in four meetings.
Chicago started the second half on a 9-2 run, highlighted by two jumpers by Pondexter.
Moore hit three consecutive 3s as the Lynx retook the lead at 53-51,
Allie Quigley made an acrobatic alley-oop layup just before the third-quarter buzzer to give the Sky a 60-59 lead.
Moore scored 25 of her 29 points in the second half for Minnesota (8-3). She hit five 3-pointers, and had 10 rebounds and six assists.
