JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars placed running back Bernard Pierce on injured reserve with a calf injury and signed a pair of linebackers Monday evening.

Pierce has been inactive the last two weeks with the injury. He has just six carries for 11 yards and three receptions for seven yards. He played mainly on special teams.

The Jaguars signed linebacker Joplo Bartu to fill Pierce's spot on the active roster. He has 178 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and one pass breakup in 39 career games (27 starts) with Atlanta from 2013-15. He was cut Nov. 26.

The Jaguars added linebacker Sean Porter to the practice squad.
