Los Angeles Rams receiver Stedman Bailey's football future remains up in the air, as coach Jeff Fisher reaffirmed at last month's NFL owners meetings in Boca Raton, Fla.
But Bailey remains steadfast in his efforts to get back on the field after he was shot twice in the head on Nov. 24. To that end, he continues to offer evidence of his progress. On Tuesday afternoon, Bailey posted video of himself running routes in the L.A. area.
Bailey remains on the Rams roster after finishing last season on the reserve/non-football injury list. He has repeatedly made it clear he hopes to get back on the field, but it's uncertain whether a doctor will clear him to return.
"Sted is currently in the evaluation process, seeking numerous opinions from neurologists and the like," Fisher said last month. "Just to see if he can not only play but continue with a rigorous physical rehab program that will put him in position to play.
"So he’s going through that evaluation process. As you can imagine, we don’t think there’s any history out there [for the likes of coming back] after the head wounds and all that."
Bailey attended the Rams' team meeting on March 4 in Los Angeles and spent some time in St. Louis working with the team's trainers before the Rams moved their operations to the West Coast.
