BOCA RATON, Fla. -- The drama is over for the now Los Angeles Rams. At these owners meetings, there's undoubtedly a more relaxed approach for owner Stan Kroenke and his staff.
The Rams won Los Angeles and now have the laborious, but not as difficult, job of actually moving the team rather than trying to convince the NFL to allow them to move. But while Los Angeles is no longer a primary topic at these owners meetings, it's still an issue for the Oakland Raiders and San Diego Chargers as they work toward stadium resolutions of their own.
ESPN Chargers reporter Eric D. Williams wrote this week that NFL owners still believe San Diego is the best place for the Chargers. The Chargers and the city are working toward that end, but a definitive answer won't come until after a vote. Likewise, the Chargers have until early 2017 to make a final decision on whether to move to Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, ESPN Raiders reporter Paul Gutierrez has the latest from Oakland owner Mark Davis, who made it clear that nothing is going on in the home market and the team is still exploring options.
It's expected that someone will eventually fill the vacancy in Inglewood, but a resolution appears to be a long way off.
